Craft-based but design-led: This fabric tapestry rug is soft, durable and functional and will be a beautiful, distinctive feature in your home. It is made of 100% cotton and, believe it or not, approximately 450 yards of 1 1/2 inch wide fabric strip that has been sewn and then double-folded by hand. This minimizes the raw edge you often see in these types of rugs, giving the work a much smoother appearance. In this rug, the "field" section uses raw-edged strip to create a texture that contrasts with the smoothness of the rest of the rug. Rug weight: approx. 4 lbs.
